swim was solid, i was wanting under 16min and i got that, got banged around a little bit on this swim and got wacked in the head all were very enoying but just swam threw it and came out pretty good for where i am at swim wise.

better rubber bands for my shoes, these sucked and didnt break, had to break em by hand, they just kept stretching and never poped lol

so the bike was going great, this is a fast course and i was using bens hed jet wheels which are great on rolling sections and comming out of turns and getting up to speed. bad thing about them.... i flated around mi16-17. i was avg 23 when i flated and it was flat all the way in. anyway there not my wheels and there carbon so i put my bike on my shoulder and ran it in. everyone was cheering me on and someone told me that was "epic" all i wanted to do at that point was just kick ass on the run.

had a great run, the course was awesome and even had about a 1/4 of trail running which was really sweet. had the fastest split in my ag and 15th fastest at the race. this and the swim and the good things i can take from this race. running sub 19 really made it easier not to be mad about what happened on the bike. michael always told me dont let one bad leg effect the next leg. so i was thinking about that on my jog in with my bike and told myslef to just kill the run with all i got.
What would you do differently?:

maybe a little harder at the begining

Event comments:

awesome race with great friends, sucked about the flat but i still had a GREAT time there and love the course. i want to do this race again next year for sure.
