Comments: I planned to run a hard training run sub 1:30 half but I took off on pace for a 1:25-1:26. I should have gone with my race plan. It served no purpose to take off - other than to hurt myself. Twice I began to turn the wrong way before correcting course. What would you do differently?: Go with the game plan. I wore new racing flats for this. They aren't the right shoes for me for a race this distance. I had planned to wear this in the Sept HIM. I will wear my old flats. Post race
Warm down: I ran back a mile on the course to pick up my friend for his final mile. Road the bike home. What limited your ability to perform faster: To high of a pace for the heat and my fitness level. Event comments: This race is awesome because it is only $20 to do - even with race day registration.
