Pre-race routine:

I got up early and had breakfast (Cheerios and a cake donut!) then kinda hung out and read for a bit before waking Jack up and bumming a ride downtown...
Event warmup:

No real warm up...just stood in line for the port-o-potty (yuck, I hate those things!)

What would you do differently?:

It was FLAT and I think that is what was really nice about the race--no hills, I have never run without hills!
Post race
Warm down:

My warm down was basically me wandering around downtown Chicago trying to find Jack for the ride back...thank goodness for cell phones...

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I started cramping at mile 18 pretty badly...until then I had been GUing every 4-5 miles then went to more of a 2-3 mile thing...it worked out for me well... I also started to walk through the water stops after I made it to the 1/2. It helped.

Event comments:

AWESOME! Well organized...nicely done...
