Swim
Comments: I guess i will never be a great swimmer, first olym race and the swim was tough, as i expected. Got a little off course a few times. Used breast to get good sighting and straighten. What would you do differently?: Not much, swim more...lol Transition 1
Comments: Pretty good, long run from water to trans, didnt have a great spot, but i dealt. I just relaxed and did my best. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: What a hilly course, i was either going 11 mph up a hill, or 30 mph down. I did well and stayed in aero. I thought it was challenging. What would you do differently?: Nothing, lost a gel that i had taped to my top tube. Transition 2
Comments: Had to run pretty far with bike, but i was close to the "run out". What would you do differently?: Nil Run
Comments: Again, i picked people off on the run, only getting passed by 1 or 2 guys. I had a good nutrition plan, as it was really hot. Sipped at every station, and had gel at start and mile 4. What would you do differently?: Nothing, practice more in heat. Post race
Warm down: Walked around and stretched. Ate at food, but it wasnt all you can eat sadly. Got my award and a few free bottles, shirts, and electrolytes. What limited your ability to perform faster: Knowledge of olympic triathlon. Event comments: Good event, with good people, DJS, and volunteers. Congrats to my former high school teacher Greg "stick" Wilkinson, who defended his title as Sprint Champ. Last updated: 2009-06-12 12:00 AM
