Pre-race routine:

Had a bananna to eat. Not much of an eatter before races.
Event warmup:

Not too much warming up. By the time I got to the start I had just enough time to get in the water.

Well, I have to say that I did better this time than my first triathalon. The water was really shallow for the whole swim, and some people actually walked most of it (I really think that is cheating). I swam as much of the race as I could have, but it got so shallow at the end that I was scrapping the bottom.
What would you do differently?:

Keep up more with the pack and try to get out faster.

I thought that I really had a good first transition. I thought it was faster than my time reflected but I might have not really noticed the time going by.
What would you do differently?:

Not much I guess, maybe have my stuff better set up before I start.

I really think that I did awesome on the bike. I kept pace with a few experienced riders. We passed at least 30 on the bikers in our wave. all of us slowed down at the end even though I tried to keep pace.
What would you do differently?:

Not much I would have done differently here expect keep up the pace until the end of the race.

Well again I did use the clip in peddles for this race so the transition was quite simple. I forgot to take my helmet off before I started the run and threw it on the ground to pick up later.
What would you do differently?:

Take off the helmet and glasses while getting off the bike.

I really sucked on the run. I crapped like I have never cramped before. My legs felt like rubber after the bike and I really felt dehydraded. About 10 people past me which I usually never let happen. It was so hot during the run that I was really happy when I got done.
What would you do differently?:

RUN FASTER and drink more water.

Drank alot of water and gatoraide.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The heat and the shallow water.

Event comments:

I liked the race overall but the heat and the low water (which both are not the fault of the race directors), were really a killer. I will probably do this race again next year because the bike ride was really nice.

Course: This was a really flat course where the biggest hill is smaller than anything I train on in NY. I really thought it was a nice course through Harrisburg. This was an up and back course with no looping which I thought was great.

Course: Really a boring course. The course was flat, and two loops of a baseball stadium. There was hardly any shade and I felt like I was on a track.
