Up early for breakfast & drove 1hr to the race site.

more hill work - 60% of the race is biking, I must improve.

I didn't think I did too well on this, but again, I can't argue with a 23 second time. Of course, the dismount & most of the running with the bike got counted as bike time, not transition.
What would you do differently?:

let the bike slow down a bit more before jumping off. almost ate pavement.

Comments:

The course wasn't bad, but I was dying from pushing the bike ride too hard. Had to walk a couple times to try to catch my breath - felt a little phlegmy, too.
What would you do differently?:

Not much, I'll work on improving my conditioning so I can get some air during the run.

Warm down:

Walked around, found the family & let them ooh & aah over me for a few minutes.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

insufficient bike training, small cold Mon/Tues.

Event comments:

As a new participant (can't say I actually competed), I thought it was a fine race.
