Swim
Comments: Need to work more on sighting. Felt like I was off course too much. What would you do differently?: Work more on sighting. Practice more in an OWS. Transition 1
Comments: Slower than normal but I wanted to take my time to make sure I had everything I needed for the bike. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Kept about the pace that I would have liked for Louisville. Thought I could do the bike in under 3 hours but the heat was bad. I live in the flatlands and even though I've improved on hills I need to keep working. What would you do differently?: Need to keep training more on hills. Transition 2
Comments: Took my time again to get some much needed water. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: The run was more like a death march. Ran the first two miles and then started a run/walk pace. I had bad timing on aid stations. Went by one station that was completely out of everthing and another one that was out of water. That made my run a little harder. So hot that I had asphalt melting and sticking to the bottom of my shoes. What would you do differently?: Maybe purchase a fuel belt so if aid station is out I can have my own liquid. Post race
Warm down: Walked around with the family in the shade and sipped on water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat and humidity Event comments: Race was good. Bad luck on missing some water on the run. Last updated: 2009-06-15 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5am ate a bananna and drank a gatorade. Left hotel about 6am to go to race site.
Did some light jogging and stretching. Took sport legs 30 minutes before swim start. Took a gel about 15 minutes before swim.
