Swim
Comments: For me it was a good swim. We were seeded in waves based on swim time so not only did I stay with swimmers in my wave, I actually caught the prior wave!!! Yes! I caught people on the swim! I'm NOT the slowest swimmer on the face of the planet. What would you do differently?: I dunno ... maybe swim faster and such? Transition 1
Comments: In this transition you have to pack evrything into a little back. Which makes for fun times when everything's wet and scattered about. Bike
Comments: This course was hillier than I remembered. I hate hills!!! What would you do differently?: Bike lots! Transition 2
Comments: This was quick in and out. Coming into T2 I tried a jumping dismount but almost crossed the line while still on the bike so it wasn't pretty. Oh well. Only 35 seconds. Not bad. Run
Comments: Good run. I probably could've run a little faster, especially at the end, when a frickin 12-year-old went flying by me. I was chatting, as usual, and wasn't focused. But I had fun. :) What would you do differently?: Nothing. Maybe not chat so much? Post race
Warm down: Grabbed water and about six orange slices. NOM NOM NOM. What limited your ability to perform faster: My desire to make it fun. Event comments: Good race, lotsa fun, nice course and friendly people. Sorry this is boring! I'm trying to go home! Last updated: 2009-06-15 12:00 AM

Camped the night before the race. I woke up at about 4:30, packed up everything and rolled up the tent, threw everything in the truck and went to the race parking lot.
Packed all my stuff and rode the bike to T2. Saw Whizzz and chatted with her. Left all my run stuff in T2 and then rode over to T1. Set that up, put on the wetsuit and did some pre-race warm up.
