Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4AM. On the road with two mugs of coffee, two bagels, and an instant breakfast drink.

Rode the bike a few minutes, swam a lap.

Comments:

This was a snake style swim start, seeded by the time you estimated. I was surprised to be the fifth person starting. I waited to get passed, especially on the last 150yds, but it never happened. I felt ok in the pool, but I need to work on my form a bit more. Still, I finished 20 sec faster than last year.

I was terrible up the hills. I felt good on the flats and declines, but waited to get burned going up those hills. My computer stopped working 1/4th of the way in, so I didn't really know how well I was doing. I was also all by myself the entire race.
What would you do differently?:

work on hills more.

I felt pretty slow. I was surprised I ran a sub 23 min. I had to walk at the top of the hill. I didn't have much of a kick, which I think means I paced myself pretty good throughout the run.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe amp the pace a bit more.
