Comments:

As I walked the last few feet in the lake,I was able to advance in my transition inside the water. I took off the tritop becasue there was some much wind and was afraid I was going to get cold on the bike, I even managed to put a t shirt on.
I forgot to unstrap my shoes so I started pedaling with them attached to the bike only to discover a few yards away that I had to stop and unstrap the velcro and start over. I almost had a girl knocked off her bike. I did terrible here.
What would you do differently?:

Make sure velcroes are unstrapped

Post race
Warm down:

just walking around with the kids

What limited your ability to perform faster:

swim: the terrible conditions and that we had to walk a lot.
Bike. I burnt my legs in the swim/walk and wasn't expecting the hills and wind.
Run: My knee

Event comments:

It looked to me like a rece orginzed by neighbours st home. I do think the swim course was terrible and was definately expecting a finishers medal, that was a huge bummer. But don't take me wrong I would do it again hopefully next time we will be able to swim instead of walk. Lake Geneva is a beautiful place.

Performance: Average
Suit: FULL WETSUIT
Course: Awfull! It was too close to the shore so water was extremely shallow. Add up the extreme Chop, waves were horrendous but I was able to manage that breathing just one side opposite to the waves crashing into my head. What made it awfull was everybody kept walking so in order to pass a competitor I had to stand up and throw myself around him, the turn at the buoy was like walking in the NYC sub at rush hour. Overall I think I had to walk at least 35% of the way which trashed my legs for the bike. To make matters worse a few yards for exiting the water I kicked what seemed to be a concrete block, slashed my toe nail and came out bleeding. Iwasvery dissapointed in the organization, the seim course was awfull.

Course: The course is beautiful scenery but is a gruesome climb 70% of the way. I was definetly not expecting that and just add the tremendous gust winds that were close to knocking me off a couple of times. I was glad it ended as it was just crazy.
