Groundhog day morning ritual with Sam!
Event warmup:

Jogged over to the registration tent (about 1/2 mile away) then jogged home to drop off ID card then jogged back to start line and stretched.

Comments:

What can you say about an out and back course? It was HOT and HUMID this morning and there was hardly any shade but how do I complain when I PR'd?! Plus, they contra flowed Trimble Rd which was cool as that gave us the whole left side of the road! Not bad for an MWR sponsored event!

I didn't stick around to see the overall results or anything else after the event but this is a great race considering I was able to literally run out the door to it!
