  • 880 yards
  • 01m 36s / 100 yards
Comments:

Good swim, water temp was just right. The lake was glass calm. No drafting, I just went for it and ended up with a PR.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Transition 1
  • 00m 38s
Comments:

Transition was pretty good. Transition area not so good, it needed to be swept more, there were little pebbles all over, but no big deal.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, my bike was right near the transition exit.

Comments:

Good strong bike ride. First race on the new Lucero, upgraded from an alum.Kilo, man that bike is fast. There was one crappy corner right after the turn around, but from what I can understand they had to change the course this year do to a bridge being out.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Transition 2
  • 00m 46s
Comments:

I was a little slow getting on the running shoes, but did not loose much time.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Run
  • 24m 52s
  • 3.11 miles

Comments:

Very hot! I have not been running much due to the inside of my right knee hurting. Over all a good course though.
What would you do differently?:

Run more!
Post race
Warm down:

Talked to a few people I know and watched part of the kids race.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not enough run training.

Event comments:

Nice race, not very big but just big enough. The bike course had a few hills but nothing to hard for a flat lander like me. I was not sure if I was going to do this race but now I am glad I did. The course is just right and in a nice quiet location. Friendly volunteers and great post race BBQ! I will be back next year for sure!
