Swim
Comments: Not sure but the swim seemed longer than 500 meters and the run shorter. It was probably just me. Thought my time would be a little faster than this but I did start out wide. Transition 1
Comments: had a difficult time clipping my right foot in for some reason Bike
Comments: This was a good ride for me and the first one over 21mph. I pushed it pretty hard but was definitely having some stomach issues. They started on Saturday and didn't get any better. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: probably decide to put on socks. the new shoes were not ready Run
Comments: I was hurting and the stomach problems were mounting. I pushed it pretty hard just to finish the race. A few AG'ers passed me which usually does not happen but I am not complaining as I was happy to finish before puking. What would you do differently?: Well, my running has been limited since messing up my ankle last month at the Muddy Buddy. I sprained it bad with an avulsion fracture on the inside. It was tender but not too bad, however, deciding to go sockless with the new shoes may have been a mistake. Thank goodness it was only 3 miles. Any longer and my stomach and feet would have given up. Post race
Warm down: WATER What limited your ability to perform faster: stomach/cramping issues Event comments: My 2nd year doing this event. It is close and small which is nice. The family was there and could spot me easily. Last updated: 2009-06-22 12:00 AM
