Swim
Comments: The water was warmer than the air temperature, felt very nice to get into. What would you do differently?: Swim more both in the pool and OWS Transition 1
Comments: Difficulty getting started wtih cages on pedals since I wasn't used to that. But didn't take too long What would you do differently?: Maybe practice a few times, but I thought for being my first transition this went really well. Bike
Comments: First time really pushing myself to go fast on a bike, for that long of a distance. I had no idea what I was doing as far as cadance, shifting etc. Just enjoyed myself What would you do differently?: Learn how to ride efficiently and invest in a road bike. (Done on a borrowed hybrid, which was awesome, but still not ideal.) Transition 2
Comments: Had a little trouble figuring out where my bike was supposed to go back to, let's see it was over here by the handicapped sign...oh no I'm on the wrong side. But it all worked out What would you do differently?: Probably not much could be done different, will get more familiar with transitions in time. Run
What would you do differently?: Should have run a little faster and pushed more. I was worried about running out of steam before the end since I hadn't trained much for this. Next year train a little, get in some bricks. Noodle legs the first 1/4 mile Post race
Warm down: Walked around and watched for Jo. Drank some water, but felt almost sick to my stomach. By the time we got changed and had breakfast I was hungry though. What limited your ability to perform faster: No real training ahead of time. Event comments: Nothing else to compare it to, but I really enjoyed this race. Was great getting to meet some BT friends and everyone was very supportive. I will be back! Race volunteers were very supportive and the entire race was well done. Last updated: 2009-06-22 12:00 AM
