Swim
Comments: I was having a great swim until my timing chip decided to fall off. I lost about 2 minutes farking around with it and totally lost the group I was swimming with. It just wouldn't stay on. I told the race people at the end to get rid of it. What would you do differently?: Nothing..that wasn't my fault! Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Generally a nice flat course. I didn't kill myself because I knew I had to save my legs for the hell run to come. Transition 2
Comments: Had some trouble racking the bike due to other people leaving no room for mine Run
Comments: This run always kicks my a$$!! And this year I had to do it twice for the Oly. Ooof. Had some quads cramping going on...usually it's my calves...WTF??? It wasn't horrible, just a new experience for me! Michel and I did some high 5's passing each other back and forth...cool! What would you do differently?: More hills training I guess! Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Faulty velcro on timing chip and quad cramping Event comments: I have to say that K-town Tri puts this one to shame in terms of secuity in the T zone (anyone could get in here ) food, body marking and general organization. Got to the race site in good time. Realized that I forgot ALL my water bottles...D'OH!!! Phoned my husband in a panic and he came to the rescue. I am such a spaz!!
Checked my bike and ran a bit. Didn't know what to do when O Canada came on the loudspeakers while I was in the porta potty...do I stand? Get out?
Found Michel and chatted briefly...then it was time to get the old wetsuit on!
