The water was fairly cold in the 60s. There was quite a bit of wind and waves once the course went beyond the protection of the pier. They course was changed at the last minute to minimize the amount of time spent outside of the protection of the pier.

Tough course. My legs felt pretty weak after last weeks HIM. Wasn't really prepared for the hills due to the short recovery time from the last race.

Felt quite good on the run. Since this was a shorter run of 5 miles, I really worked hard to push the pace. Made up some good time on the run and had enough energy to go a bit further. Very happy with my time.

Event comments:

This was an excellent race. No problems with the event that I was aware of. The setting for the race couldn't have been any better and the bike course was quite the challenge. Overall one of the more enjoyable races that I have participated in this year.
