Swim
Comments: I don't think that this was a true 2/3 mile swim. It looked and seemed much shorter, especially considering my 100 yd pace. Regardless, this was an excellent swim for me. I felt like I could have kept going around for ever. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 1
Comments: Again, that stinking wetsuit did not want to come off. I also started to exit the wrong way (DUH). What would you do differently?: I may need to try another suit$$$ Bike
Comments: I took the first three hills easy upon warnings from others and I am glad I did. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: Forgot to take the forms out of my flats (DUH). Shoes went on fast after that. What would you do differently?: Set up better Run
Comments: I think that I went out a bit too fast but I couldn't tell because I forgot my watch. I guess forgetting my watch didn't matter much because the distances were not marked in any way. What would you do differently?: Train for longer distances. Run this race as a 5 mile not a 5K. Post race
Warm down: Walked around and BSed with a few other racers. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training for a longer run. Event comments: Race would have ranked better if the cost would have been more reasonable. I came in with a very bad attitude. I signed up simply because this was a bonus race on the series worth an extra 125 points for me. I signed up late and felt suckered in. Upon later evaluation this race has a lot going for it. The transition area was lush grass that washed the sand off my feet. The course was challenging, but not grueling. Post race activities were the best of all the races that I have done this year. There were showers available. I do not know whether I will schedule this race in next year or not, but I am leaning toward entering. Last updated: 2005-08-21 12:00 AM
