Swim
Comments: AWESOME swim in that I was able to settle into a rhythm quite arly. I think I was going slow but I was relaxed.... got kicked a few times and scratched but nothing too bad. What would you do differently?: Nothing; I am DEFINITELY a fan of in-water starts so I can get the hyperventilation over with before the race starts Transition 1
Comments: T1 is always slow for me. I am always going to wear socks; this is what takes me a long time. Call me a wuss, but I can't deal with blisters. Bike
Comments: Good ride. I tried not to hammer too much so I'd have something left for the run. I am happy with my performance Transition 2
Comments: My legs were still a bit shot from the ride. I walked from my bike to the timing mat to let my legs adjust. What would you do differently?: do more bricks!! Run
Comments: Well, all I wanted to do for this run is RUN it and not walk. I got all the way to the 2 mile mark before having to walk, at which point I took a gel. Walked another 0.2 mi and then joggd it in at the finish line. The run is ALL mental for me. Post race
Warm down: walked around to cool down. What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of training - I could definitely do a lot more but my lifestyle doesnt allow it! Event comments: This is a first class operation. I think I can say with confidence that the Philly tri (sprint and oly) is my favorite race of the season. The race director has this event running smoothly. I would DEFINITELY do this race again. And will, most likely. I went out to have fun since i haven't been training at the level I want to - and felt like I had a successful day. Last updated: 2009-06-28 12:00 AM

swam in the water before the race. This is key for me!
