Pre-race routine:

Woke up. Got dressed. Put bike on car. I got to transistion early as the spots are a first come first serve basis. I ate a bora bora bar, stretched and hung out a bit.
Event warmup:

Got in the water before the race to adjust to temp. Swam around a bit. Tredded a little water.

Comments:

Had a tough time sighting and breathing. I was very diappointed with my swim. I was breathing bi-latterly every 3rd stroke. This was my first open water swim since I changed my swim stroke from the "Tarzan Technique" Found myself out of breath very quickly. I didnt think I went out very hard. Went way to the right of the bouys. Better than my first tri but I still have alot of work to do.
What would you do differently?:

Need to practice more OWS. Sighting especially.

Happy with this overall. Didnt start with the shoe on bike because I didnt want to run through the wet grass/mud in bare feet.

I was surpised my time was so good. Felt really easy. Picked up at the end. This was my best 5k split to date

Waited for friend to finish. Hung with the fiance who sat out with a sore knee

Swag Bag Stunk but overall was a nice race. I would do this one again
