Pre-race routine:

Wake up around 5:30, showered and ate. Got out the door around 6:15 and rode down to the transition area over the east falls bridge

Comments:

My left thigh started to cramp up after the first mile and my pace dropped to 10m-10:30m until I got to the first station where I had a gel and some water.

Picked up the pace big time in the final 1/2 mile

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I was earlier in the week so I did not work out for the week prior. Also, my thigh cramped up at the beginning of the run

Event comments:

I really like this race because I live 4 miles away so I just ride my bike there as a warm up
