![]() Swim
Comments: again swim felt long. there were patches of seaweed in the water that I kept swimming into. One time, enveloped me and i had to roll off it. was totally gross. What would you do differently?: keep swimming ![]() Transition 1
Comments: good t1 ![]() Bike
Comments: at first, i couldnt get on the bike well and couldnt get clipped in. took like 30 sec to get things in order. was just fumbling around at the mounting area. but overall...another 20mph buster! Was pleased with it. actually felt i could have gone a little faster, but was concerned with heavy endourance training the past week that I wouldnt have anything left to run with. ![]() Transition 2
![]() Run
Comments: well by the time i finished the bike, my legs were DONE! nothing in there to give anymore. shot. I had enough to run through the race, but at a dismal pace. What would you do differently?: longer taper if possible ![]() Post race
Warm down: water, relax. What limited your ability to perform faster: i think just the recent increase in training to longer week volumes just didnt allow me to do an adequate taper...but then again, this is just a nice little warmup race for novembers half iron. Event comments: they always do such a great job! Love getting the results emailed to me - on my phone - on the way home.... so cool! Last updated: 2009-06-29 12:00 AM

Woke up 4:30A. Had oatmeal and banana and coffee. Parents in town so they came to watch. Drove to the race.
Met up with Henry, Mary, and Dennis. No real warmup, just a little swimming.
