Swim
  • 31m 16s
  • 1408 yards
  • 02m 13s / 100 yards
Comments:

Somewhat nervous about the swim. I have never swam this distance all at once, but have really been practicing staying smooth, not kicking too much and getting out of breath. I was not concerned with time but was figuring around 30min. Felt great at the end, could have swam longer. Very happy at the end of the swim.
What would you do differently?:

Continue to practice to be more proficient.
Transition 1
  • 02m 56s
Comments:

I always loose time because i like to dry my feet and put on socks. Wet suit came off easy.

Bike
  • 1h 17m 42s
  • 24.9 miles
  • 19.23 mile/hr
Comments:

First time using the areo bars during a race, they seem to have help my time a bit. I had to pee for the last 6 miles i wanted to stop but waited until i got on the run and ducked into the woods. Happy with the bike.
What would you do differently?:

I start to day dream between 10-18 miles and i go too fast then too slow. Need to pay more attention and stay focused while riding.
Transition 2
  • 01m 37s
Comments:

Love them Yankz. Slip them right on. Wore them 2 weeks ago for my 14 mile road race and they were too tight. Played with them a bit. They were good to go.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Run
  • 49m 3s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 07m 55s  min/mile
Comments:

Legs felt great the whole way. The bricks i did this summer really helped. Ran with a guy from mile 2-to mile 5. It was nice to have a chat and pace the run with someone. He started to fade at mile 5. i told him that i was going to try to break 2.40. Well almost made it the last mile was in the low 7's.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Post race
Warm down:

Walked, ate some bbq chix, watched people finish.

Event comments:

Great race. i felt great the whole time. I'm thinking of a HIM for next year. The race reports that people have shared from the past 3 years really helped.
