I got up, ate a banana and went to the race.

Comments:

I started out a bit too fast. I started slowing down after one kilometer and then this lady pasted me and I decided to stick with her. I followed her for a big part of the race and we pasted each other quite a bit, but I eventually had to let her go ahead and I was hanging on for dear life. The guy behind me wasn't too far back so I still had to push it right to the end.

What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Post race
Warm down:

I ate half a banana and one bite out of a bagel since I wasn't hungry at all. I met up with a few of my friends to talk to them about the race, got my medal and then left. I should have went for a cool down run, but I had a blister and my body ached.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Just training.

Event comments:

This race brought together so many people and the atmosphere was awesome. This is one of the reasons why I run!
