Swim
Comments: I have only been putting in general time in the water with no effort towards speed. I noticed the difference while I was swimming. I had no second gear. It was just one speed the whole way through. Transition 1
Comments: I still have a hard time gettin into my shoes. I need to train alittle more specifically for that and possibly try some way of rubberbanding the shoes or something. Bike
Transition 2
Comments: Left shoe got caught on my heel and that took me 5 secs to resolve. Run
Comments: the first part that was up hill was difficult. Second part I got passed by a guy who I kept up with. Then passed him on the down hill. I got horrible blisters on my left foot from my new running shoes. I am not sure how to deal with that premptively. Possibly mole skin. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of speed work outs. Event comments: There was no timing chip, a total of like 6 volunteers. There were no age group prizes and the prizes they did give were not of any value. During check in nobody checked my ID or whether I was a USAT member. There were no race/coarse officials so Drafting was a problem. It felt good to race but it was not impressive. I consider it no better than a good saturday workout. Last updated: 2009-07-01 12:00 AM
