Event comments:

Sean Wendt, the race director, thinks he can do everything single handedly, but can't. He needs to learn to delegate. This was the first year for this race, which explains some of the problems, but he's a veteran race director and should know how to do a race. A sampling of the many problems include: No port-a-potties on site, 1/2 hour late in getting started, no choice on T-shirt sizing, no body markers until VERY late pre-race, buoys weren't in place until about 2 minutes before race start, etc. Not very well organized. Though it was my best time, I probably won't do this race again.

Course: A strange one, to say the least. Straight out for about 300M, then a left turn to go parallel to the beach for about 50M, then back to shore. A 50M run on the beach back to the start, then do it again.

Course: All dirt roads...which is fine...just fairly exposed. Started to get warm in last 20 minutes or so. But, I RAN the whole run...the first time I've been able to do that. Fairly flat.
