Swim
Comments: I thought my swim was better than that, I had no trouble getting to the first buoy, sighted well and found someone to draft off of for most of the swim. Never felt too tired and felt great. What would you do differently?: Not sure if drafting helped or hurt, I drafted off a guy who is a pretty good swimmer and we did come out of the water together, maybe there were just a bunch of really good swimmers. Transition 1
Comments: Good transition, long run from the swim exit to the bike. What would you do differently?: Not much, run faster. Bike
Comments: Hard bike for my level of riding fitness. Passed a bunch of people but also got passed 4 times, by guys in my AG. What would you do differently?: Need to ride more, and figure out a way to simulate hills. I get my butt handed to me on courses with hills. Transition 2

Comments: Blah! Did not like the run at all, not what I expected as far as trails go, no shade, uneven surface and lot's of hills. What would you do differently?: Should have pushed it harder, not knowing what was coming up hill wise made me hold back a little maybe. Post race
Warm down: Went into the lake to cool off and relax. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of hill training on the bike and general weakness on the bike. Woke up at 5am, ate a bannana and some bread with honey. Coffee, some Gatorade and headed to Harris County Park.
Rode out to the end of the park to get a feel for the speed jumps, ran a little then headed down to the swim start.
