Pre-race routine:

First triathlon so I spent time asking lots of questions about what to do. People were all very helpful and friendly

Water was cold but I got use to it quickly. Lots hydrilla and weeds...was like swimming through a fern bush in certain places. Overall I was very happy with my first tri swim. I was more physically taxed when I got out of the water than I expected
What would you do differently?:

I need a lot of work on proper swim technique

Overall I thought the race was great. I was glad I did it. My wife also participated as did a couple of co-workers and I think we are addicted.
