Comments: Well, there's a first time for everything right? I was totally unprepared for this really with my lack of training, especially hard training, throughout June. And the long, gradual hill on the return? awful. My lungs were burning...though the legs actually felt descent. What would you do differently?: Train appropriately. Especially hills. Get some aero bars or a tri bike. Post race
Warm down: Quick, gentle ride and a little stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: I'd like to blame it on the lack of aero bars...especially on the downhill. But really, my June hibernation is mostly to blame. Event comments: well organized. Last updated: 2009-07-06 12:00 AM

Had an energy bar about an hour before, and some Clif shot while warming-up and waiting my turn to start
20' easy warm-up with a couple quick sprints. Stretching while waiting in line for my turn to start and checking out everyone's cool bikes. I was one of few people without Aero bars.
