Swim
Comments: Best.Swim.Ever. Started in the back to avoid the chaos (even with small field). Had a great start and just tried to stay steady. Did a lot of sighting to find a line ahead and make sure I was avoiding people. Squeezed through some tight spaces but stayed calm and kept swimming. Passed a bunch of guys from the front and just tried to stay steady. Toward the end came up on a bouy and realized my line was off. The course turns to the left at the end, toward the beach and I didn't account for the turn. Quickly readjusted and picked up my pace toward the finish. Kept swimming as long as I could instead of standing up and wading/running. Much more efficient. What would you do differently?: Just a little better sighting and maybe a quicker turnover, but I really can't complain about this. Transition 1
Comments: Doesn't show up on the official results and so my run time is also off, but I had a good transition. Time is from my watch. What would you do differently?: Get into shoes quicker. Run
Comments: Run time is off because they didn't get my transition time. I had a good run though. My plan was to get HR under control, set a comfortable pace on the way out and then pick it up after the turn around. Goal achieved. Negative split and felt strong on the way back in. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed some gatorade and cheered on other finishers Event comments: Third time for this one, will continue doing it. Last updated: 2009-07-07 12:00 AM

Got there early and got a good transition spot.
Warmed up by swimming down to the start. Its a point to point swim so instead of walking down the rocky dirt path, we swam. Not sure why I haven't done this before.
