started out great and was in lead group for about 100m then then all flew by, couldn't ever get a solid draft going the fast guys were too far up ahead and was kinda stuck in the middle of the 2 packs. my sighting was ok, i had to adjust a few times. the water wasnt too rough, a little choppy after the first bouy but not too bad.

solid bike, stayed in big ring whole time when last time i didnt and the rolling hills got the better of me, not today. bike split was about 5min faster then tx man so i am happy about that. cooked my quads a little on the bike and i felt it on the run. havnt had enough brick workouts latley and i felt it today

i was in no mans land most of this ride, saw maybe 3 or 4 ppl this whole ride

Comments:

got a half mile in and i know my quads are cooked. every time i try to push a little i have shooting pain and there on the brink of locking up. i stay at my pace i know i can hold but cant push any harder. someone in my ag passed me about 1/2mi into the run and i tired to keep him in sight and did til the turn he was about 30 sec ahead but i couldnt get him. i did pass 2 people and one in my ag with a half mile to go so that was cool, i had my sights on them both since the turn around and i wanted to at least catch them. i pushed real hard to blow by them so they would see that and mentaly not even try to keep up, they didnt!
What would you do differently?:

salt tablets and i needed more brick workouts leading up to this race
