Comments: Good ride! Caught several people on this portion. What would you do differently?: Not sure yet. Transition 2
Comments: Need to get faster in transitions! Run
Comments: Run was not good. Calves were "crampy" for 1st mile or so, then, started to loosen up. Time was very slow but noone to really pace this last portion of the race...I was kind of in no man's land. Finished with a good sprint What would you do differently?: Try to keep the pace up especially once no threat of legs cramping. Definitely need to hydrate better Post race
Warm down: Grabbed some Gatorade and a banana. Drank the rest of what I brought. Had another water. Should have stretched What limited your ability to perform faster: I'm thinking hydration since calf cramping became an issue for the last run. Other than that, mental, and the fact that I've only been training for the runs for 8 weeks. Event comments: Has to be the best! It's the only one I've done so far! Last updated: 2009-07-10 12:00 AM

5:15 - Out of bed
5:30 - ate bowl of cheerios w/ soy milk
6:20 - on way to PI - small sips of water and gatorade
6:35 - set up bike, shoes, helmet, etc for race
7:30 - got small cup of coffee and ate 1/3rd of a nut roll
7:45 - quick spin on bike to loosen up legs and make sure everything was working ok
8:00 - easy jog to warm up the legs for the 1st run
