Bike
Comments: Words to describe the race: Hilly, Hot, Humid, Humbling, Humiliating, Hurt, Hell This was strictly a shakedown run to see how things are before Steelhead. It let me find out that I need to make changes (back to the original geometry) before Steelhead. I lost several miles an hour with the changes I have made over the last month. What would you do differently?: I don't know, this was my first ever TT race, so I did not know what to expect. If I am going to continue with USCF events, I really need to get a cycling kit, as my tri kits do not have sleeves, and the cycling shirts are too "comfy" fit, and not tight enough. And ride lots. Get up earlier. Have things laid out and ready to go. I couldn't find any gels, and didn't want anything else on my stomach. Post race
Warm down: Needed to soak in tub, as my left adductor was cramping and tight like it was pulled, right ITB hurt, as well as neck/shoulder. What limited your ability to perform faster: Monkeying with riding position. I made the arm rests too narrow - made for a very uncomfortable ride right from the get go. Seat was too steep, I couldn't get comfortable. I need to make changes for Steelhead. I forgot to pump up my tires. I need to check my brakes before the start to make sure nothing is dragging. Event comments: Breakaway Bicycle Club has a well organized TT series, and have been putting it on for awhile. For it's smaller size, it was very well run with the limited resources. My only real issue was no place to fill a water bottle, fortunatly, I planned for this, and brought my own. Last updated: 2009-07-12 12:00 AM

Not much of one. Just got up late, drove up, and got on bike and hammered.
None, aside from riding 1/2 block from car to start. I was running really late.
