Surprise! No swim today. Rain was too much last night and the river current was 4 X's faster than usual. This Tri was turned DU

nothing. I felt my pace was ok for a race warm up. running is not my strength anyway...

It was funny to be passing so many people since I am usually getting smoked on the bike. It was a beginner race for many people so I can see why I felt like I was flying! I ate one gel and had 1/2 bottle infinit.

Comments:

The run was good. They had cool towels on course and kids squirting us with water guns. Kinda fun! I felt strong and knew my pace was faster than normal but my body felt OK with it. sipped water and heed from the course.

Event comments:

Since the Tri was turned DU, everyone was finishing close to eachother. The food station was mobbed and the line was LONG! I did not feel like waiting 30 mins for bagel/banana so I took my stuff back to the car. I did however score some nice bike glasses for myself and a friend from a vendor.
