Comments:

This is the first race that I've done since IM Lake Placid a year ago. I have been pretty lazy since then, and it shows. Even though I know I would have been a lot faster last year, I'm not all that disappointed with my time, since the course was very technical, muddy, rocky, and hilly, and I'm just starting to get back into form. I had decided to do this race just last week, as a way to get back into racing with an event that would be fun and not as intense as most road races, so I'm happy to have done it and to have had a little fun along the way. As usual, I was in competition with the lead women, and I had a front row view of the battle between the two ladies who were going for the overall win :).

What would you do differently?:

Not sit around drinking beer, eating crap, and letting myself go since last July :).

Event comments:

This was a great local race - only $12 for entry, with a t-shirt, and with some nice goodies (chocolate chip brownies included) at the end. I'm planning on doing the other two races in the series: The Bradbury Breaker (9 miles) in August, and the Bradbury Bruiser (12 miles) in September.
