Transition 1
Comments: Rubber band on left pedal worked great. did not rinse feet just wiped with towel. 3rd in age group for T1. Bike
Comments: Drank about 1/3 of water bottle. Half gatorade and half water mixture. Bike seemed slower but I think it was from wind. What would you do differently?: Go faster Transition 2
Comments: Felt great. Good rack location for me. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Run felt pretty good but I felt like I was going slow. Passed lots of slower people from other waves and just kept picking them off. What would you do differently?: Try to maintain faster pace sooner. Post race
Warm down: Walked back home and took shower and took dogs for a walk. What limited your ability to perform faster: I felt great because I was able to train for this one without sacrificing too much personal time. I incorporated the race into my life instead of letting it run my life. Event comments: I love this race. It is super crowded but well organized and fun. Watching the pros is great. Got up at 5:40 and registered on site. Set the bike up after getting my packet went with real no frills transition area. Got body marked after setting up the bike and leaving transition area. Watched the pros start swim and then walked home to wait for an hour or so. Saw the pros go by on their bikes as I was walking.
Swam about 100 yards for a warm up.
