Swim
Comments: Not bad start, was tough at first sighting into the sun but found the bouy and was OK, started some drafting but the dude slowed down, so I passed. Pretty much was at RPE 7+ish, breathing every stroke. Transition 1
Comments: Missed the clip on the helmet and almost dumped the bike trying to get the helmet buckled, missed the 1st clip in just getting started and goggles were fogges up from the humidity although they need to be cleaned. What would you do differently?: Really thinking about new shoes to run and jump on and then get in when up to speed. Bike
Transition 2
Comments: Pretty good T2 What would you do differently?: not much pretty smooth Run
Comments: Went out pretty hard to keep it under 7 min pace and made it .... barley. What would you do differently?: Work some more tremp runs into the program Post race
Warm down: Walking to cool down, light stretching and then went looking for Kari What limited your ability to perform faster: Muscle fatigue from 1/2 IM training Event comments: Did not stick around for post race gala as we had to get back for the munchkins, always a great day when Kari and I get to race together. 4 am wake-up to take the kids to the neighbors, actually went pretty smooth and got out on time. Dirve to the site with 1 pit stop for the buziness...gtg. On the way ate some yogurt with walnuts, blueberries, and red raspberries, had some hammer gel, accelearde, gatorade, and h2o.
About 5 min run, 10 min bike, and 5 min swim
