Pre-race routine:

well my 1st so no routine. Up at 5am, tried to eat, got 1/2 protien bar down. went to race site, my stuff was packed up the night before. Got body markings, set up my station, talked to a few people around me. Everyone was nice. went for a last port-o-potty stop before getting into my wetsuit

got in the water and swam for about 10mins to acclimate to the cold water temps

felt good, time was pretty comperable to pool despite me not being able to get my head completely in the water. Felt good, not fatigued.

more correct freestyle form throughout
