my form went to pieces after the first 500 yards as I had been drilling previous and not building endurance 471 place in swim split

had a crushing low blood sugar at mile 5 on the run and had to walk for a little bit. Still finished strong once
What would you do differently?:

pay more attention to my Continuous Glucose Monitor

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor swimming technique, not enough time trialing, not enough speed work for running, Low BG in run. Unstable blood glucose pre race was a factor as well and standing in the water cooling down for 25 minutes waiting on my wave to start.
