Swim
Comments: Will fill in the Age Group and Overall when results are official. Felt good. Could have done better in my opinion but for my first race I was happy. Definatley FOP on the swim for my wave. What would you do differently?: extend my stroke and swim faster. Just need to keep it up and get back into my old college swimming strength days. Transition 1
Comments: Found the bike no problem Put on shorts, shirt, socks, Bike Shoes, Sunglasses, Helmet Took a Gel and off Running with Bike. Because I'ma bigger guy I don't feel comfortable with a running jump onto bike. So I had to stop and then get on. What would you do differently?: Could have been faster but with a triathlon of 7500 people the transition area was quite big. Bike
Comments: I felt like I smoked the bike. Could have gone forever today it felt like on the bike. What would you do differently?: Push the pace harder next time. Get out of the salddle earlier to get legs going again for run. Transition 2
Comments: Event hough I felt good on the bike I'm a terrible runner as you will see next. What would you do differently?: I should have taken my bike shoes off and ran in my socks. Would have been much faster in my opinion. Run
Comments: Couldn't get the pace up. Just running I can do 9 minute miles. Couldn't get the legs moving today after the bike. Felt aweful during the run. What would you do differently?: Train harder for the run. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Definately the run. That was what I was worried about before the race. Event comments: Great day for racing. Congrats to all the athletes who participated and to the volunteers for helping put on a great race. Overall I had a blast. Family and Friends came out to watch and it was a beautiful day. Woke up at 3:00. Showered. Had a PBJ and glass of water and Gatorade. Put bikes on rack and left house at 3:45. Drove to Race and set up transition. So far so good. Couple bites of powerbar and some more gatorade.
Stretched out only. No swim available for race. Felt really good befor the race.
