Swim
Comments: This is my strongest leg. :) What would you do differently?: Not much. . .maybe bring my own bouys because the course was not marked very well. Transition 1
Comments: Decent transition. . . What would you do differently?: not much Bike
Comments: Well . . on mile 7 I had a flat. A nail/tack was sticking out of my tire. . so needless to say this pretty much ruined my bike segment. I don't take spare tube/tools/co2 on short course so rode 5 miles on flat tire. Of course this was after I was off the bike for 5 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong. What would you do differently?: Uhm. . . not get a flat? Transition 2
Comments: Decent What would you do differently?: At this point my race was over. . .but finished it out anyway. Run
Comments: Run felt a lot better than in past triathlons. This may have been due to the fact that I got a flat on the bike and needed to make up time or was a little more rested. What would you do differently?: Just try and run harder. Post race
Warm down: Water and Gatorade What limited your ability to perform faster: Flat tire Event comments: Overall it would have been an awesome race. I was flying on the bike till I got the flat and then it was not so much fun for the next 5 miles. Run was good. Last updated: 2005-08-29 12:00 AM

Wake up 5:30 (race starts at 8:00), get final things ready. At race: unload equipment, set up transition area, go get marked and chip. Warm-up a little, talk with friends. . . just enjoy the experience.
Ran a little, not much and did a short swim.
