Swim
Comments: God I'm slow in the water... passed 1 swimmer, allowed 2 to pass. What would you do differently?: More practice - but hey, 90 days ago I was in the hospital with a open clavicle fracture and a concussion after my bike accident, so who's complaining? Transition 1
Comments: Nice tempo I guess - took my time and got it right the first time. What would you do differently?: Not a thing, other than not have to attach 625x to the bike in T1. Note to self: need separate bike computer. Bike
Comments: Some headwind coming in, Pouncey Tract Rd and into development(miles 6-9ish). Average cadence for the circuit was 87 - in the sweet spot for me. Passed a ton of riders on the bike leg, was passed by no one. Really need to practice yelling "on your left" without getting a sore throat if I'm going to start this late next time. What would you do differently?: Nothing - felt like I did everything I could possibly have done on the bike. Transition 2
Comments: Bike fell off rack as removing helmet - extra time taken to pick up. What would you do differently?: Not have bike drop - pay less attention to getting 625x off bike and onto wrist while capturing split data (need separate bike computer!!) - kinda botched the watch movement and I should be racing, not worrying about data capture! Run
Comments: Didn't get in enough water - not able to tolerate much fluid due to late hydration on bike. Passed a ton of runners, was passed by 1. What would you do differently?: Nothing - reverse split the course and felt like I left it all out there. Post race
Warm down: Walk-around, stretching.... rehydrate. What limited your ability to perform faster: Inexperience? First tri nerves? Event comments: What a great first triathlon! Loved the event and am proud to be a member of RTC! Setup runs a TIGHT show compared to others I've worked. Last updated: 2009-07-17 12:00 AM
