Comments: Felt good to pass people. I'm such a poor runner, it makes it all OK when I get on the bike. Caught people everywhere, hills, corners, straights. Really felt strong. What would you do differently?: Push harder. I had some left when the race was over. Transition 2

Comments: Went OK for my training. Kept pushing and negatively split the run. Pushed me up one rank. Mental conditioning paid off. What would you do differently?: Speed work. Need to increase speed. Post race
Warm down: Had bottle with whey and added Gatorade. Worked OK. What limited your ability to perform faster: Still not trusting my own speed. Event comments: Another great race from Run Wild Multisports. These people think of everything. They did well adapting to the situation. Announced that there was a drowning in the lake yesterday evening. There will be no swim. Converted race to a duathon with a 2 mile run before the bike.
