Swim
Comments: Knew that the swim was going to be my weakest point; however, I developed a routine that helped me go faster than I expected. What would you do differently?: Warm up for it better, and not skip so many swim workout days...work on form more, I was dragging my feet at one point because I was not kicking Transition 1
Comments: Need to work on putting on gloves while riding, and the shoeless run to the transition line to jump on the bike. The sock add on was smooth, the gloves are what slowed me down. What would you do differently?: look above^ Bike
Comments: Upper hamstrings cramped up which decreased power wattage into my pedals, WARM UP BETTER!! Ride more miles on regular training rides and power through everything. Screwed up the end of the ride by stopping too soon trying to get my shoes off, and I added a good 1 minute 30 from my mistake. What would you do differently?: I would have taken a GU or energy bar, since coming from swimming to biking, and would have drank more water. Transition 2
Comments: The stop before the transition area screwed me up when trying to keep the shoes on the bike and I ended up running in my bike shoes which slowed me down from running in my barefeet What would you do differently?: Work on the transition at home Run
Comments: I over estimated how tired I was because of the 'jello' feel I had in my legs after getting off the bike, but I controlled my breathing and picked up my pace. Due to the lack of music it was hard to get a rythm so I focused on the people in front of me. I was thinking I was going to be at a 8 minute pace; therefore, I did exceed my expectations however I know I can do better even from my 7:37 pace. What would you do differently?: I would start off at a faster pace and maintain + improve the pace gradually as my legs get loosened up again into stride Post race
Warm down: Hugged it out with my friend :) and got free ice cream and food What limited your ability to perform faster: my warm-up and not practicing transitions Event comments: Some volunteer wouldn't stop yelling about riding over the line, which we all got so that frustrated some of the participants when I talked to them later on, and once again the volunteers were ignorant at the food stations thinking since we finished a race we don't know how to listen and repeat themselves over and over and over again..found quite annoying, once is enough Last updated: 2009-07-20 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5 drank muscle milk and ate peanut butter toast, while drinking a whole glass of water. Then sipped on another glass of water, while going over the checklist
LEFT WAY TOO LATE FOR A WARM UP!!!! Did not get a proper warm up in which effected my performance and felt too tight!! Leave a full two hours before the race.
