Swim
Comments: Cancelled swim due to high surf. Let me state here that if someone signs up for a tri with a OCEAN swim, they should very well be able enough to swim /2 mile in rough water without drowning. I mean WTF?? Has everyone become such wusses they're afraid of the ocean? So the wisdom of the RD is for everyone to head down the beach where the swim start was supposed to be, and then just run to T1. Whatever- Transition 1
Comments: kicked off the shoes, grabbed the bike and threw on the helmet. I was smokin' fast till I knocked off my water bottle and it rolled forever while I chased it. Nice- What would you do differently?: Not be stupid Bike
Comments: I felt ok but my legs were toasted from my Aturday ride Transition 2
Run
Comments: I had a decent run. Slow but decent Post race
Event comments: The Saturday before this race, I met a friend/ ultra endurance cyclist who is training for Furnace Creek 508. We hit the San Gabriel Mtns where I rode 60+ miles with over 6000' of climbing. I was tired and sore for this race- exactly where I wanted to be. Overall I was pretty stoked with my preformance as I did not expect to be fast whatsoever, but to maintain a steady pace. Last updated: 2009-07-22 12:00 AM

Set alarm to get up early, eat breakfast and do the 15 mile ride to the event. Hit snooze, hit snooze again, reset alarm and finally got up in time to grab my stuff and drve and make it to the event on time. Ate a banana and energy bar with a gatorade
stood around bummed about a cancelled swim- BOO!!!!
Since I was tired I just hung out and chatted up the ladies :)
