Pre-race routine:

1. Set up my T-1 and T-2 area
2. Put my ipod on and listen to my music
3. Take a 10 min jog to warm myself up
4. Take some power gel 15 min before my wave start
5. Put my wetsuit on and take a five min swim

I think this was my best swim. I felt pretty good. I got off on a fast start and kept my pace very well.
What would you do differently?:

Breathing was a little fast at the end and I should have slowed down a bit

Push a little harder at the end.

Warm down:

Got a nice massage from the National Holistic Institute. Eat carbs!! Drink plenty of fluids to replenish.

Event comments:

There were no drinking stations which was a bummer. The post race activities were good and there were plenty of cool stations to relax and buy Tri-gear.The finish medal was such a cool medal. I just wish I would have qualified for the nationals but I missed it by 4 spots. Oh well, I'll try again next year.
