I am not a great swimmer, but this course was longer then .25. Even the winner who is a good swimmer posted a bad 100m time.
What would you do differently?:

I thought I did everything right just need to practice swimming more. The start had everyone very close together so a lot of getting kicked in the face.

Great bike made up for a bad swim. Two small parts were you have to cross over while riding in the grass so it was actually a mile or so before you could start riding hard.

I thought I was going to sprint the whole three miles. Started out at a 6:50 pace and it was all down hill from there. Still did okay but really was looking to get into the low 7's

It was a good race and post race, but the start just ruined it for me. I've never been to a race where I had to go searching for a swim cap because "they ran out"!
