Swim
Comments: Good swim. Started off strong in hopes to get a head of some people but that didnt quite happen. Lots of good swimmers in the water today. Kept it pretty easy for the first lap and went in easy on the second. I tried to pick it up for the last leg and passed a few people and left a few more behind that I had been with from the start of the second lap. What would you do differently?: Not have done IMLP 6 days prior to this race. Transition 1
Comments: Went really slow. The climb up the beach killed me and I was just taking it really easy. Took my time and got off in an ok time What would you do differently?: Not done IMLP 6 days prior to this race Bike
Comments: Really felt it on the first long hill. My legs are still wicked gassed. I tried to push as hard as I could and keep a decent hr without totally blowing up. Felt less then good but I think I had a pretty good ride dispite how bad my legs felt. What would you do differently?: Not done IMLP 6 days prior to race Transition 2
Comments: T2 was much better. I am glad I used my shoes with the Yankz. I had some trouble with my socks, I rolled them and put them on upside down first and had to switch. Probably wasted a few seconds. Run
Comments: Shocked at that run pace. I felt like my legs just were not moving. I gave it all I had and pretty much left it all out there. No problems with a sub 7:25 pace. Would have liked to go closer to 7 but with less then fresh legs I will totally take that time. What would you do differently?: Not do IMLP 6 days prior to this race. Post race
Warm down: Quick soak in the lake and lots of walking around What limited your ability to perform faster: Not fully recovered from IM. Event comments: Love this race. It is getting better each year. I would urge anyone to do this race. Last updated: 2009-07-31 12:00 AM

No real warm up today. Maybe about a 10 yard swim.
