Pre-race routine:

This was all kinds of messed up. On our way to the race the day before. I had helped organize a Family Fun Tri. Then we headed out kinda late and enroute our truck broke down and had to be towed to the hotel. Got to bed real late. My alarm clock didn't work, the cell phone died and the hotel did not do the wake up call that was requested so I also woke up late and didn't have time to eat breakfast. A family took pity on us and drove Glen and I to the race on race day. They left much later than we do. Then my chip didn't work.
Event warmup:

Stretch. Because we didn't know when the race would start. The organizers had some trouble with the course. We started late in the morning we were to start at 8:30 we started around 8:45

I didn't freak out this time just got a little confused on the bouy location and most had suits on so they did have an advantage on me

The bike racking was not real organized. I had a bike nazi in my area that was saving space and my stuff got pushed around and kicked around and had to find my stuff.

Need something besides water on the run. I felt strong at the finish so I just need to move my legs more. However, I was a bit faster than last race like this

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Out of my routine not enough sleep leading into the race.

Event comments:

It was the first year. I was uncomfortable with the lack of transition control. to many people in and out. The bike distance was longer than we were told. Need more fluids on the bike course. The race does need to start earlier. 8:45 is LATE. Post race activity just not much. I like the prizes given out. I'm going to work harder and getting something next year. My times were lost but the next day they quickly got them for me.
