Pre-race routine:

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express with the family. Nice clean rooms, took the kids swimming in the pool. Had a pasta dinner at the Green Mill. Relaxed in the room and watched TV with the kids.
Event warmup:

Up at 5am, breakfast of cheerios and a banana. Found a parking spot a couple of blocks away from the transition area. Set up close to the bike in/out. Got body marked and went for a swim.

Comments:

Overall I liked the course with two exceptions, the weeds and the rising sun is right in the line of sight as you head back to shore. Neither were that big of a deal.

Still having a little problem with getting the wetsuit off of my left heal. I felt a little slow in this transition.

Technical course. I reached forty mph on the downhill because I was in between two packs and had one lane to myself. If I had been in a group I would not have felt comfortable cornering at that speed.
What would you do differently?:

Push harder on the uphills and straight areas.

I really liked this course. I heard some guys complaining about a short stretch of sidewalk but I didn't think it was an issue.
What would you do differently?:

Run harder, get stronger at the mental aspect of pushing harder.
