Comments: Thought the course was flat but it was rolling-burned my quads but felt good. Really slowed down at mile 10-very very thirsty-ran out of Gatorade...drank water but I was water logged-not too bad-good weather. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Just getting up my mileage to bring down this time. Was hoping to go under two hours-that is my goal. Kept a great pace to make this happen until the last loop. Just need more base to push through those last few miles at 9 min/mile. Also-usually train on a flat course. Did my best-very happy. Post race
Warm down: Guzzled a water-headed to Cracker Barrel to drink some tea! What limited your ability to perform faster: Myself! Get base up to get faster at this distance! Ate an apple/banana at 3:30 a.m.-was hungry right before start but new hunger was better than a full tummy. Sipped some orange juice.
